What scope of data do we process?

We process your personal data: full name, e-mail, telephone number, name of the entity/publishing house with whom the journalist (data subject) cooperates.

Why do we process your personal data?

We process your personal data to send by electronic means press releases about the activity of the Controller and to maintain contact and good relationships on the basis of your consent, namely pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

After withdrawal of your consent, we will process your data for the purposes of legitimate interest of the controller only in back-up data, namely pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Legitimate interest means ensuring stability and accountability of the IT system.

Right to withdraw your consent

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent and you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. In order to do so, please contact our DPS (contact details above). Withdrawal of your consent will not affect legal compliance of our processing of your personal data before the withdrawal.

Right to object

You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data if we rely on legitimate interest of the Controller to process the data.

Rights of data subjects

We guarantee compliance with all your rights following from the general data protection regulation. Pursuant to the GDPR, you have the right to access your personal data, have it rectified and deleted, restrict its processing, transfer it and not to be subject to automated decisions, including profiling. 

Right to complain to the supervisory authority

How long do we keep your personal data?

Your personal data is kept by the time you withdraw your consent or by the time we learn that the contact is not needed. Then the data is kept as back-up data of the IT system for
a subsequent period of 30 days for the purposes of legitimate interest of the data controller.

When and to whom can we transfer the data?

  • In view of the need to protect the website against web robots, we use the Google reCAPTCHA system. In this situation we may transfer to Google LLC the data required by the system. The data is transferred on the basis of your consent. Please note that reCAPTCHA enables verification whether the data on our websites (e.g. in the subscription form) is entered by
    a human being or a robot. To do so, reCAPTCHA, on the basis of various features, analyses user’s behaviour. The analysis starts automatically after the website is opened. As part of the analysis, reCAPTCHA considers various information (e.g. IP address, user browsing time
    or mouse movement). The data collected as part of the analysis is transferred to Google.
  • In addition, our website uses Google analytics, a website tool to analyse website statistics. In this situation we may transfer to Google LLC the data required by the said system. The data is transferred on the basis of your consent.
  • Your personal data may be disclosed to employees of the controller and to data processors under concluded agreements, ensuring an appropriate level of safety of personal data.

Automated processing

Your personal data will not be processed by automated means.

GDRP – Regulation of the European Parliament and the Council (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).
